London's best riverside pub
Built in 1662 and given a fresh face in 1899, we are a cornerstone of local history, where you can catch those famous SW13 sunsets that make our place so special.
Perched on the banks of the Thames, we’re all about warm welcomes, great service, and good old-fashioned attention to detail. We serve up hearty, seasonal British food (the kind that makes you pause after the first bite), whether you need a place to unwind after a busy day or a quick bite after a stroll along the river.
The Six Nations returns this January, bringing more edge-gripping, pulse-racing drama than ever before. Cheering for your team is game-time-energising, drink-worthy work (let’s be real), so we’ve loaded the bar with perfectly-chilled, match-ready craft lagers, bold-and-balanced real ales, and celebration-ready, cocktail-worthy tipples.
Stuart and the team can’t wait to welcome you.
Riverside Bites
Our talented Head Chef Marco is proud to support British farmers and producers, weaving their fresh, locally-sourced produce into each of his flavourful, one-more-bite-worthy dishes. Sustainability is at the heart of our menu, with seasonal ingredients picked at the peak of their freshness taking centre stage. You can be sure to enjoy a true taste of the season with every bite, from field-fresh vegetables to day-boat fish landed in Brixham Harbour.
Our January Set Menu
Our January Set Menu is a celebration of mid-winter seasonality, showcasing some of our favourite winter produce from across the UK. Featuring West Country Beef, Bedlam Farm Heritage squash, Lincolnshire Brussel Tops and South Coast mussels (to name a few!) it’s available on weekdays until 31st Jan. With two courses for £18 or three courses for £22 (go on… treat yourself to a pud) you shouldn’t need further excuse to get yourself to the pub.
Swoon for our Sunday roasts
Guinness Six Nations 2025
Rugby is a crowd-pleasing, always-on passion here (we love every tackle and try!), which is why we’ve earned our reputation for hosting a buzzing, rival-the-stadium experience and being Barnes’ top-notch, rugby-action-packed hangout.
